| According to ancient Mexican legend, butterflies cause the South Wind to blow. And as the South Wind carries warm rains sweet and sultry, the South Wind pennywhistle breathes a song rich and mellow. With more the voice of a true end-blown flute than that of the traditional tin whistle, it is designed to play effortlessly through two octaves. Low air requirements and a nimble response to even the fastest fingers more than make up for its humble appearance. |

Listen to the South Wind Pennywhistle
Below you will discover a selection of tunes performed on our handcrafted pennywhistles. They are played by our whistle maker, Thomas, a novice whistler since the turn of the millennium.
Tunes are saved in a medium resolution MP3 format with no special effects added. A slight reverb is compliments of our home's hallway which did double duty as the recording studio.
We hope you enjoy the warm, mellow tones of our pennywhistles. Thick-wall copper construction and a distinctive fipple design impart a rich sound that is often taken for that of a wooden flute. Please let us know what you think.
